Your car only leaves marks while it slides. Pick the scheme that suits you in Settings > Controls:

• Thumbs (the default): hold your left thumb down to drive and drag it sideways to steer. Pull it down to brake, and keep pulling to reverse. Hold anywhere on the right side to slide.
• Classic: on-screen buttons for left, right, gas, brake and slide.
• Pro: two thumbs, full control. Steer on the left, with Gas, Brake and Slide buttons on the right.

Tire marks only appear while the rear tires are sliding sideways. Get some speed, turn, then hold slide. The level's dotted line is different: wherever the car touches it, it fills in, sliding or not.

Yes. Controller: left stick steers, right trigger is gas, left trigger brakes, A or the right bumper slides, and Menu pauses. Keyboard: W A S D or the arrow keys to drive, Space to slide, Esc to pause and R to restart.

Menus stay upright, but you can turn on Rotate in levels in Settings to play levels sideways on iPhone. iPad works in any orientation.

Open Settings > Purchase > Restore purchase, or tap Restore purchase on the unlock screen. Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you bought with. There is nothing to sign in to inside the game.

Yes. If you buy the unlock and Family Sharing is on, everyone in your family group gets it on their own devices. If it doesn't show up right away, they can tap Restore purchase.

That's Ask to Buy. Everything unlocks as soon as a parent or guardian approves it, no need to buy again.

The Daily Shape is free forever, and so is the whole Parking Lot. The one-time unlock adds four more places (Crop Circles, Zen Garden, Zamboni and Cake Boss, 48 levels), plus Freestyle Canvas with video export. No subscriptions, no ads.

Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on both devices and keep iCloud turned on for Carligraphy. Your stars, best times and streak sync on their own. If iCloud is off, progress saves on that device only.

Sign in to Game Center in the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. The game works fine without it, and your stars still save on your device. There are two leaderboards: the fastest Daily Shape of the day and Total Stars.

Every day at 00:00 UTC, for everyone at once. The home screen shows a countdown in your local time. You can play as often as you like, and your fastest finish counts.

If a new day starts while you're mid-drift, that attempt still saves on your phone but doesn't count for the new day's leaderboard.

• Easy difficulty (the default, Settings > Difficulty): the car hugs the line, so you can relax and draw. Every difficulty counts for the leaderboards.
• VoiceOver labels on every menu and on the game screen.
• Dynamic Type in menus.
• Reduce Motion: the game follows your iOS setting. The end-of-level reveal becomes a gentle fade and screen shake turns off.
• Separate Music, Sound effects and Haptics sliders in Settings > Sound & music. Slide one to zero to turn it off.
• Three control schemes, plus controller and keyboard support.
